Smartify Technologies built the Sharp Accounting app ("the Service"). This page informs you about how the Service collects, uses, stores, and discloses information.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We do not share your information with anyone except as described below.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions unless otherwise defined here.
To provide accounting features, Sharp Accounting collects and stores the following information:
Accounting data you enter — company details, accounts, products, sales, purchases, cash and bank entries, opening balances, and reports. This data is uploaded to the Sharp Accounting cloud server and stored against your company so it can be accessed across your devices.
Photos and PDF documents you choose to attach — purchase invoices, lorry receipts, product photos, and company logos. These files are uploaded to your company's storage area on our server and linked only to the specific entry you create.
Account credentials — user name, mobile number, and login PIN/password, used solely to authenticate you and identify your company.
We do not use any third-party advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or trackers that profile you. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Before using a sensitive permission, the app shows an in-app disclosure explaining what is accessed and why. You can grant or deny each permission, and you can revoke it later in Android Settings → Apps → Sharp Accounting → Permissions.
Camera — Used to scan purchase invoices, lorry receipts, product photos, and company logos so you can attach them to your entries. The camera is opened only when you tap a "Scan" button or a photo placeholder. Captured images are uploaded only to your own company's storage on our server; they are never streamed, broadcast, or shared elsewhere.
Photos and Media (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES on Android 13+, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on older versions) — Used to let you pick an existing invoice photo or PDF from your gallery instead of using the camera. Only the file you explicitly pick is read; we do not scan your gallery.
Bluetooth (BLUETOOTH_SCAN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT on Android 12+; BLUETOOTH, BLUETOOTH_ADMIN on older versions) — Used to discover and print to your nearby thermal/Bluetooth printer. No Bluetooth data is transmitted off your device.
Approximate and Precise Location (Android 11 and below only) — On Android 11 and below, the operating system requires location permission to perform a Bluetooth device scan. Sharp Accounting requests it solely for this purpose. We never read, store, or transmit your GPS coordinates. This permission is not requested on Android 12 or newer.
Internet — Used to sync your accounting data with the Sharp Accounting cloud server and to upload/view attached photos.
Photos are uploaded only to your own company's storage area on the Sharp Accounting server.
Each photo is linked only to the specific purchase, sale, or master entry you create it from.
Photos are never shared with third parties, never used for advertising, and never sold.
Photos are not used to train any machine-learning model.
Your accounting data and uploaded photos are retained as long as your company account is active. When you delete an entry from within the app, the photo attached to that entry is removed from our server. You can request deletion of your entire company account (including all attached photos) by emailing us — see Contact Us below. We will action verified deletion requests within 30 days.
Whenever you use our Service, in the event of an app error we may collect diagnostic Log Data including your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app at the time of the error, the time and date of the error, and other statistics related to app stability. This data is used solely to diagnose and fix issues.

This Service does not use cookies explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use cookies to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to accept or refuse these cookies and to know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.

We value your trust in providing us your personal information and we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it, including HTTPS transport encryption and per-company storage isolation. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
