Team Smartify Technologies built the Smart Pagar App. This page informs visitors regarding our policies on the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information for anyone who uses our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We do not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
Smart Pagar is a payroll and attendance app used by businesses. To provide the Service, we collect and process the following information, which is transmitted to and stored on our secured servers:
Smart Pagar accesses, collects, and uses location data from your device. We use the
Android permissions ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION, and
ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION for two features:
1. Attendance check-in (foreground location). When you mark attendance (check-in or check-out), the App reads your device's precise location at that moment to geo-stamp the attendance record, so your employer can confirm attendance was recorded at the workplace. This happens only while the App is open and you are marking attendance.
2. On-duty employee tracking (background location). For field employees, when you start a work shift in the App, Smart Pagar collects your device's location periodically during the active shift — including while the App is closed or not in use — so your employer can verify you remained on duty and on-site. A foreground service runs and a persistent notification is shown while tracking is active. Background location collection starts only when you check into a shift, stops automatically when you check out, is never collected outside an active shift, and is used solely for the attendance and on-duty-verification purposes described here.
The App uses your device camera to let you optionally capture a selfie when marking attendance. The selfie is used to verify the identity of the person marking attendance and is associated with the corresponding attendance record. We do not use camera or photos for any other purpose.
Your location, selfies, attendance, and payroll data are shared with the employer organization that operates the Smart Pagar account for you. Data is transmitted to our backend servers to provide the Service. We do not sell your personal data, we do not share it with unrelated third parties, and we do not use location, camera, or personal data for advertising. We may disclose data if required by law.
Whenever you use our Service, in the case of an error in the app, we may collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device IP address, device name, operating system version, app configuration, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics related to the app.
We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information and strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it (including encrypted HTTPS transmission). However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
We retain data for as long as your account is active or as required for the employer's payroll and legal record-keeping. You may request deletion of your personal data — including stored location records and selfies — by contacting us at the email below. Removing the App from your device stops all further location collection.
This Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically. Changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
